A Place for Everyone

Zero-Tolerance Policy

To make sure everyone has a positive experience at Wild Island, we don’t condone any actions, language or behavior that interfere with our welcoming environment. Doing, wearing or bringing in any of the following will result in immediate removal without refund:

  • Profanity
  • Vulgar gestures
  • Running
  • Spitting
  • Fighting
  • Cutting or holding a place in line
  • Smoking (e-cigarettes, marijuana, etc.)
  • Offensive clothing
  • Weapons (no open carry allowed)

Service Animal Policy

We love our furry friends, but we ask that you please keep them at home when exploring Wild Island! According to Washoe County Health District guidelines, only service animals are allowed here. 

A service animal is a dog trained to assist someone with a disability. While we understand some pets provide emotional support, they don’t qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act. For more details, check out this PDF.

Guest Safety at
Coconut Bowl

  • For Bowling

    Before you jump into the fun, give our rules a quick look:

    • No smoking.
    • No climbing on benches, tables or ball returns.
    • Bowling shoes are required. 
    • Only one ball per person, per lane at a time.
    • Please do not walk down the lanes.
    • Please keep food and beverages in designated areas.
    • No outside food or drink.
    • No horseplay in the bowling area.
    • Press the intercom button for assistance.
    • Any misconduct will result in the forfeiture of the lanes without a refund. All incurred charges still apply.

  • For XD Adventure Theater

    This attraction has intense side-to-side movement and on-screen flashes. If you’ve been diagnosed with or think you might have epilepsy, we recommend sitting this one out for your safety.

    The maximum weight for this ride is 350 lbs.

    Do not ride if you have any of the following conditions: 

    • Recent surgery or illness
    • Heart conditions
    • Neck, back or bone conditions
    • Pregnancy
    • High blood pressure or aneurysms 
    • Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol

    Additional ride rules:

    • Secure all loose articles (glasses, cameras, cell phones, hats, wallets, keys, etc.) or leave them with someone who isn’t riding.
    • Cameras and video equipment are not allowed on the ride.
    • Smoking is not permitted. 
    • Chewing gum, candy, food and drinks are not allowed.

  • For High Ballocity

    Children who are 36” tall or shorter MUST be accompanied by an adult (18 years+). Older children or teens are not valid chaperones. 

    One adult per child is allowed at a time. To ensure the safety of our younger guests, we have a strict “Teen Policy.” Misbehaved teens may be removed from High Ballocity with minimal verbal warnings.

    Official Rules
    • No shoes allowed. Socks are recommended.
    • Do not throw balls. Please use blasters instead.
    • No climbing, standing or jumping off of equipment, nets, railings or slides.
    • No food, drinks, gum, candy, toys or any personal objects are permitted inside High Ballocity.
    • Guests assume all risks.
    • Wild Island is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
    • Please report any accidents to management before leaving. 
    • Any misconduct or breaking of the rules will result in suspension from the indoor playground without a refund.
    What We Provide to Keep Guests Safe
    • Clean, well-lit play area supervised by our trained staff
    • A 3-story play structure that’s thoroughly sanitized and inspected daily

  • For Jungle Karts

    Official Race Rules
    • Follow instructions of the attendant.
    • Secure loose clothing and hair that’s longer than your shoulders.
    • Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
    • No bumping.
    • Shirt and shoes/sandals must be worn.
    • Remain in your go-kart at all times.
    • Keep hands and feet inside the go-kart.
    • At the end of the ride, enter the pit slowly. Do not bump the go-kart in front of you.

    Any misconduct or breaking of these rules will result in immediate suspension from the track without a refund. Rider assumes all risk of damage or injury.

    Adults riding with a child are responsible for ensuring that the child follows these rules.

    The minimum height to be a driver is 54”, and 30” is the minimum height to be a passenger. We don’t allow passengers over 54” tall.

    The Following Guests Should Not Ride Jungle Karts:
    • Pregnant mothers
    • Persons with injured heads, necks or backs
    • Persons with heart conditions or recent surgeries
    • Persons with broken or brittle bones

  • For Jambo Glow Golf

    Official Rules
    • Do not swing the putter above your knees to prevent mistakes or hitting anyone/anything around you.
    • Please allow faster groups to play through.
    • Please treat props (wildlife, vehicles, etc.) gently, and do not climb on them.
    • Your golf ball should not leave the ground. If it does, you will be asked to leave the jungle. 

  • For Outdoor Mini Golf

    Official Rules
    • No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed on the golf courses.
    • There are bumps and dips on each course. Please walk carefully!
    • Do not swing the putter above your knees. Misuse will not be tolerated.
    • For health and safety reasons, shoes or sandals must be worn.
    • Do not retrieve balls from the water. Ask a team member at the counter for a replacement.
    • No pets are allowed except for service animals.

  • For Elite Force Laser Tag

    Official Rules
    • No physical contact or offensive language.
    • No running, jumping or climbing.
    • No sitting, kneeling or lying down.
    • Play fair, play smart and give it your all!

  • General Information

    About Our Waterslides

    Each waterslide has its own set of rules posted for you to review before going on them. Please read them carefully! 

    Additionally, we’ve created a Mild to Wild Scale that rates each attraction according to its level of intensity: 

    • Mild: Low intensity; perfect for first time riders or if you want something more laid-back
    • Thrilling: The middle ground of intensity; adds a bit more excitement without being too intense
    • Wild: The most intense; high-energy rides that spike your adrenaline

    Ask a lifeguard or team member if you have any questions.

    About Our Lifeguards

    There are plenty of lifeguards and team members located throughout the Waterpark at all times. Our award-winning lifeguard team, licensed through Ellis & Associates, is highly trained and always on alert to make sure our guests are safe. Lifeguards are here for your safety. If you have customer service related questions or concerns during your visit, please find a supervisor or manager. This helps ensure our lifeguards can remain vigilant when on duty.

    We all play a part in water safety, so please remember to supervise children closely. There are a limited number of Coast Guard-approved life jackets available for use in the Waterpark; they are free of charge. Or you can bring your own Coast Guard-approved life jacket. 

    How We Keep the Water Clean

    At Wild Island, we go the extra mile to keep our water sparkling clean. Not only is all water at the Waterpark treated with chlorine, but we’re also one of the few water parks in North America that circulates all our water through specialized UV light equipment that treats it for bacteria and viruses.

    Tips for Sun Protection
    • Use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Use a lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from sunburn.
    • Reapply sunscreen every two hours at least. Don’t forget easy-to-miss spots like your ears, neck and the tops of your feet.
    • Choose a waterproof or water-resistant sunscreen for better protection while swimming.
    • Consider wearing a rash guard or UV-protective swimwear for added coverage.
    • Remember to take breaks in the shade throughout your visit.
    • When not on a slide, wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face, neck and shoulders from the sun.
    • Bring an empty water bottle to fill inside the park, so you have water on you at all times during those hot, summer days.
    • Drink plenty of water! Two ways to make sure you’re hydrated are to grab a sip after every attraction and to set hydration reminders.

  • For Montego Bay Wave Pool

    Official Rules
    • The waves can be tiring, so please pace yourself.
    • Weak or non-swimmers, as well as those less than 42" tall, must wear a life jacket. They’re available at the entrance of the pool and throughout the park.
    • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Please follow all lifeguard instructions for your safety. 
    • Enter and exit the pool from the shallow end.
    • Ladders are for exiting the pool only.
    • Do not enter the pool from chained-off areas.
    • Diving, running and horseplay are prohibited.
    • Use safety straps with all eyeglasses.
    • Food and beverages are not allowed in the pool.
    • Please only use clear tubes in this pool.
    • Proper swim attire is required.

  • For Little Lagoon

    Official Rules
    • Only children under 54” are allowed in this pool.
    • Please follow all lifeguard instructions for your safety.
    • Running and horseplay are prohibited.
    • Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
    Sanitary & Health Rules Related to Infants
    • Diapered infants must wear protective plastic pants before being allowed in any of the pools. Plastic pants may be purchased at the gift shop.
    • Infants may not be changed on lounge furniture or picnic tables. Please use the infant changing stations located throughout the Waterpark and those in the men's and women's bathrooms near the entrance gates.

  • For Bahama Mama Lazy River

    Official Rules
    • Weak or non-swimmers, as well as those less than 42" tall, must wear a life jacket. They’re available at the entrance of the pool and throughout the park.
    • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Please follow all lifeguard instructions for your safety.
    • Enter and exit the river using steps only. 
    • Diving, running and horseplay are prohibited.
    • Use safety straps with all eyeglasses.
    • Only clear and blue single tubes are allowed.
    • Food and beverages are not allowed in this pool.
    • Proper swim attire is required. 

  • First Aid Station

    We have licensed and trained medical team members on-call during all operating hours. If you need assistance, head over to the First Aid Office, located to the right of the Montego Bay Wave Pool.

  • Rules for Unattended Teens

    We kindly ask that unsupervised teenagers show respect towards fellow guests, as well as our Wild Island team members.

    • Please do not sit at, hang out or leave your belongings in areas clearly marked as “Families Only.” A few of these areas include Coconut Grove, behind The Little Lagoon, Five Palms Pavilion, The Coves and Baja Bay.
    • Groups of teenagers should not exceed six people without adult supervision, no matter the reason.
    • If any member in a group of teenagers violates any of our policies, the whole group may be escorted out of the Waterpark and could face consequences, like losing their Season Pass or day ticket.
    • Unsuitable behavior from unsupervised teenagers may result in them being barred from entering any part of the Waterpark or Coconut Bowl for up to one year.
