Where Do You Fit In?
Wild Island Family Adventure Park has grown tremendously since it opened in 1989. Coconut Bowl now employs over 250 people year round and the Waterpark employs an additional 200 in the summer. So where do you fit in? Well, that all depends on who you are. The following is a list of the different departments at Wild Island that are accepting applications. Some departments are smaller than others, but each department is vital to the everyday functioning of the park. With the variety of departments and positions Team Wild Island has to offer, you should have no problem finding your niche.
Attraction Attendant/Cashier
Attending to all attractions; XD Theater, High Ballocity, Go Karts, Miniature Golf, and Laser Tag. General cleaning of the facility, i.e. sweeping floors, wiping tables. Cashiers are responsible for handling money transactions and will be delivering food.
Party Hosts
Responsible for attending to birthday party reservations, assisting with party set up and clean up, delivering food and drinks to parties, and interacting with party guests. Applicants must be outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, have good communication skills, be self motivated, organized, have flexible schedules, and possess excellent time management skills
Facilities/Janitorial
Responsible for general custodial care and providing general maintenance cleaning services for the facility. Shifts start between 3am and 5am and end at approximately 10am.
Attraction/Pinsetter Technician
Responsible for the daily safety inspections, preventable maintenance, and repair of bowling machines and attractions. Attractions include Go Karts, Laser Tag, XD Theatre, Mini Golf, High Ballocity and other equipment. Must possess the ability to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
League Specialist
Provide on-lane service for all organized bowling events such as leagues, tournaments, sweepers, and special events. Being the interface between bowlers and staff to provide excellent service and support. Duties include identifying lane breakdowns notifying mechanics, scoring corrections and facilitating needs of league bowlers.
Arcade Technician
A game technician inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs electronic equipment in the arcade. In this role, you are required to test electronic and mechanical functions, of games, replace broken or missing parts, and ensure the games are running smoothly.
Bowling Mechanic
Responsible for the daily safety inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair of AMF 8290XL1 Edge Pinsetters, and attractions. Assist with attraction maintenance.
Possess the ability to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
Bowling Pro Shop Professional
Coconut Bowl seeks a full-time Pro Shop Professional to join our team. Coconut Bowl has a very strong league bowler base of 25-30 leagues and over 1,400 league bowlers. Additionally, Coconut Bowl has invested in Kegel’s Specto system and is looking to leverage individual/group/team lessons and/or training into the product mix.
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to successfully operate a full-service Pro Shop/Lesson Center in a high-volume Bowling Center. Basic skills include sales, merchandising, brand knowledge, organization, fitting/drilling, teaching/lessons, managing Pro Shop employees and achieving established fiscal metrics.
Food and Beverage Cashier
Responsible for handling money transactions for orders and delivering food to the guests. Assist with general department cleaning. Maintaining cleanliness that complies with Washoe County Health Department food sanitation requirements and Wild Island standards.
Line Cook
High volume, fast paced environment with a focus on quality and presentation. Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Prepare food by cutting, chopping, mixing and preparing sauces. Maintain cleanliness and comply with Washoe County Health Department food sanitation requirements and Wild Island standards.
Bartender
Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests. Keeping the bar stocked and clean before, during and after your shift. Maintain cleanliness that complies with Washoe County Health Department food sanitation requirements and Wild Island Standards.
Cocktail Server
Responsibilities include speaking with customers, taking drink and food orders, making recommendations, processing payments, and ensuring that customers’ needs are met. Maintain cleanliness and comply with Washoe County Health Department food sanitation requirements and Wild Island standards.
Coconut Bowl Food and Beverage Manager
Wild Island’s Coconut Bowl is seeking a dedicated, creative full-time Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to hire, train, and manage the entire food and beverage department. Candidate will also be responsible for forecasting, planning, sourcing, and ordering products and supplies, while making sure all orders are checked in using a HACCP method and stored properly. Maintaining high standards of food preparation and service is a must while following food and beverage safety regulations.
Lifeguards
Do you love the water, and swimming, and being outside? Awesome, this is a job for you! Wild Island provides you with an Ellis and Associates (E&A) Lifeguard training, which with a successful pass in the class you will then have your E&A Lifeguard license. Being a lifeguard at
Wild Island means protecting the guests in this facility in, and on, all attractions. You may proactively watch a body water, or assist at the tops and bottoms of slides ensuring guests safety on all rides and attractions. Other responsibilities include, maintaining your lifeguard skills including CPR and First Aid, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, providing awesome

Waterpark Slide Operator
Love the water and being outside? Great, this is a job for you! Being a slide operator entails dispatching the rides at the Waterpark, ensuring guests safety on all rides and enforcing slide rules. Other responsibilities include, maintaining CPR/First Aid skills (provided to you by
